OLCC Cannabis Communications
When Oregonians voted to legalize recreational cannabis in 2014, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission launched a campaign called, What’s Legal? to inform the public of the new laws. This was followed by Go Legal! for the cannabis industry. To reach as many people as possible, the design is approachable, noticeable, and easy to understand at a glance. This was done with straightforward branding and a set of icons to identify different aspects of the new laws. These campaigns continue to be used as examples of how to successfully communicate policy to the public as more and more states legalize cannabis for recreational use.
