Sean’s Donut Party

Part donut journal, part illustration series, Sean’s Donut Party is a personal project started in 2020 that features an array of donuts from 4 countries and 6 states! As a lifelong donut aficionado, I wanted to document the donuts I’ve tried at home and on my travels. But getting good photographs can be challenging depending on lighting, backgrounds, and food styling. So I decided the best way to capture the donuts was through illustration. The style is meant to mimic traditional printing techniques like block printing or screen printing, and the illustrations are created with the Procreate app. Through the process of drawing nearly 100 donuts, I’ve honed my illustration skills and developed a unique style for this ongoing project!
